Requirements:

We are seeking a team intern to provide support to the Clinical Operations Leadership Team with general day-to-day administrative tasks, including diary coordination, event management and preparing presentations.

This will be a 12 month fixed term contract based at our European Head office located at Green Park, Reading and would suit an individual seeking a Sandwich Placement.

 
PURPOSE:

Closely supervised entry level duties structured to provide an opportunity for professional work exposure. The experience will provide knowledge of methods, procedures and standards which contributes to professional development and imparts bona fide education experience. This job is for a fixed duration not to exceed 12 months, with no guarantee to subsequent employment with the Company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Shadows and learns functions and or projects under the close supervision of a department employee.
• Assignments are assigned to enhance and build upon the academic experience and the Intern is the primary beneficiary of this job. This job is designed to offer a professional work environment experience, two-way communication tactics, and exposure to the QuintilesIMS organizational structure.
• Assignments will reflect the work being accomplished within the business department and may include working on independent projects or as a member of a project team.
• Performs other duties /learning activities as directed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Expert attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Highly organised and competent in daily administration
• Experience in data handling, or willingness to learn this skill quickly
• Working knowledge of MS – Office suite of applications
• Appropriate verbal and written communication skills to function within a professional work environment
• Effective time management skills
• Recently graduated with a degree in Clinical Research, Life Sciences or other scientific discipline or business related degree .
