The Data Acquisition Specialist (DAS) is responsible for the specifications, acquisition, loading and delivery of non-CRF data including IxRS, central laboratory (safety, PK, biomarkers), independent review facility and other data.


As a DAS, you will provide data collection expertise to study teams as an extended Study Management Team (SMT) member and primary contact for data collection of non-CRF data; documents key information about planned non-CRF data for the team in the Data Handling Strategy document.


You will also be responsible for the production of non-CRF data collection specification documentation and the establishment of transfer, the receipt and upload of non-CRF study data.


Using your excellent communication skills you will be expected to develop and maintain effective working relationships with vendor contacts on a study basis and participate in vendor selection activities for a study in collaboration with study teams.


You will apply data collection standards at the study level with understanding of downstream processes and collaborate with Data Standards Office to define study data collection standards for new assessments and collaborate with them to implement new standards.


Using your influencing and leadership skills you will represent Clinical Data Management (CDM) on IxRS sub teams and work with the Study Management Team to develop IxRS specifications.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have moderate industry-related experience.

You must have an understanding of business partners and stakeholder environment and their impact on internal company process to be successful in this position, as well as an understanding and utilization of company data collection standards, CDM processes, procedures and guidelines with respect to fit-for-purpose.


You will have the ability to work alone under minimal guidance as well as extensive experience of working as part of a team


You must also possess strong initiative, problem solving and presentation skills.
