We’re looking for a talented and energetic Senior Director, Project Management - Oncology in Europe to join our team! This role will ideally be based in our office in Warsaw, Poland but we are open to other European locations.

You’ll be accountable for:

  • Providing leadership and line management for the staff and managers within Project Management function 
  • Recruitment of staff, including interviews in collaboration with corporate recruitment organization and subsequent on boarding
  • Driving customer goals in terms of scope, time, costs and quality performance
  • Representing Premier Research to the customer, ensuring satisfaction levels are maintained and deliverables are maintained effectively
  • Inspection readiness of all elements of personnel management   
  • Providing technical support to Project Managers and Project Directors, as appropriate
  • Actively leading project review process
  • Approving project expenses and ensures all department/customer related contractual and budgeting issues are upheld and performed
  • Providing mentorship with invoicing and site payment issues as required
  • Providing senior management project progress reports on project activities, as requested
  • Resourcing allocation
  • Resourcing planning, including assessment of continuous gap analysis to assess hiring needs
  • Resource realization to a planned variance target on a quarterly basis, managed monthly.
  • Reviewing resourcing needs/management with senior management including monthly reconciliation to actual performance
  • Attending monthly Project Status Meetings
  • Engaging in CO needs during project lifecycles
  • Working with proposal/finance on costing models, as required
  • Assisting in Business Development activities supporting production of Proposals and attends bid defence meetings, where required

You’ll need this background to be considered:

  • Undergraduate degree in a clinical, biological, scientific, or health-related field.
  • Strong background in Global Project Management within Clinical Research 
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills required
  • Demonstrated experience in forecasting, managing and prioritizing resource assignments required for the effective and efficient management/conduct of multiple clinical trials at varying points of their lifecycle, including complex multi-protocol programs
  • Good therapeutic expertise within Oncology and protocol knowledge is required for this role 
  • Budget/finance experience on a project level

You’ll need demonstrated knowledge of:

  • Therapeutic and protocol disciplines.
  • ICH/GCP regulations.
  • FDA guidance documents/EU directives/ISO14155 regulations, drug/device development, and clinical monitoring procedures.
  • Full-service functional areas.
  • Web-based communication tools for conferences.
  • You also must be:
  • Available to travel.
  • Fluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to lead and motivate team members.
  • Skilled at multitasking, meeting deadlines, and working effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Skilled at handling problems decisively and objectively.
  • Willing to be office based in Warsaw, Poland
