My client, a global Pharmaceutical company have a new requirement for a Performance Excellence -  Continuous Improvement Manager.

The Performance Excellence Manager will be responsible for developing and sustaining the Performance Excellence Agenda and toolkit and will work closely with the Senior Management Team. 
This position will be responsible for Project Management including the Group demand management process integration, Performance Excellence and Continual Improvement coordination.

This position will report to the Head of group (Sponsoring the Performance Excellence Agenda in Dublin).  The individual will be expected to develop innovative solutions and ensure their sustainability, in order to drive the agreed KPA’s and business goals. 
Job Duties
Delivery of Sustainability of Scorecards and KPA’s:
On a year on year basis, supporting the Technical Functions in developing and improving their cascade of metrics, and ensuring it is transferred into a visual scorecard with clear definition, target and owner.
Coordinating all proposed Technical Function Scorecards, and ensuring that data are fed monthly by the local owners.
Working closely with other Centre of Excellence Globally in developing best – in – class metrics to drive process performance and influence behaviours.  Supporting the development of innovative virtual solutions (eg Business Intelligence)

Coordination of Performance Excellence Program – Cost Savings:
Monitoring the progress in delivering improvements in each of the Technical Functions (cost saving, risk reduction etc..) in coordination with the Performance Excellence practitioner
Developing and maintaining an Improvement Pipeline for each of the Technical Functions and providing support to prioritise it.
Leading a monthly tracking of cost savings in each Technical Functions and providing monthly reports to Management
Delivery and Sustainability of Performance Excellence Standards:
Using existing Performance Excellence Standards (including a propose Transformation playbook) and coach teams and develop training needs when required
Growth of Performance Excellence Capabilities:
Developing and implementing Dublin’s Performance Excellence Standards and the proposed Transformation Playbook
Role Modelling Performance Excellence skillsets and mind-sets, coaching teams to drive a Continuous Improvement Culture
Monitoring Performance Excellence skills in the operational cross-functional teams, based on training and coaching being delivered.  At times, the Manager will deliver Performance Excellence Training/Coaching to cover some of the skill gaps
Supporting Root Cause Analysis to resolve ongoing issues with the operational cross-function teams, as required
Education and Experience required for this role:
3rd level qualification, Pharmaceutical, Engineering, Technical, or Business-related degree required
At least 5 years’ experience in the Operational/Manufacturing industry.  Pharmaceutical/Medical Industry experience preferred
At least 2 years’ experience delivering Performance Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives in a manufacturing or supply chain environment (Lean, 6sigma, Shingo, TPM, TQM), demonstrating tangible and significant business impact. Including experience in change management and capability building.
Experience in project management is essential.
Demonstrating interest in data management and development of digital solutions.
