Job Summary:

Clinical Supply Planner - Consultant Location: Braine L'Alleud, Belgium     TalentSource Life Sciences, the division of CROMSOURCE dedicated to flexible staffing solutions, is currently recruiting for a Clinical Supply Planner for one of our clients, a leading international pharmaceutical company. The Clinical Supply Planner is accountable for the supply and inventory management for assigned studies.


Clinical Supply Planner - Consultant

Location: Braine L'Alleud, Belgium

TalentSource Life Sciences, the division of CROMSOURCE dedicated to flexible staffing solutions, is currently recruiting for a Clinical Supply Planner for one of our clients, a leading international pharmaceutical company.

The Clinical Supply Planner is accountable for the supply andinventory management for assigned studies.

He/she implements the strategy defined in collaboration with stakeholders andprovides visibility on clinical supply chain during trial conduct.

He/she plans, coordinates and communicates clinical supply activities for all applicable clinical trials during their maintenance and closure phases, aiming to achieve optimal quality, time and budget.

He/she ensures product availability throughout the trial, balancing demand and supply while minimizing end to end supply chain costs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Study Supply Strategy Updates

· Monitors clinical and supply assumptions

· Refines the optimal Investigational Medicinal Product (IMP) supply strategy

· Coordinates an optimal IMP distribution strategy

· Ensures visibility on study supply activities budget variations for assigned trials. Proactively identifies risks and escalates issues

Project coordination and stakeholder management

· Guarantees optimal transfer of information/knowledge from CSSM

· Drives strong partnership with stakeholders

· Maintains project plans. Achieves through the lead of cross functional teams the planned milestones regarding clinical supply activities including packaging, labeling and distribution

· Oversees study closure activities

Clinical Supply Planning

· Manages IMP demand (forecast) and supply fluctuations

· Manages all supply disruptions, such as Out of Drug situations, temperature excursions, recalls, depot closures, etc.

· Orders packaging as well as resupplies, and track (re-)releases. Orders and oversees expiry update relabeling (shelf-life extensions)

· Manages inventory, order movements of IMP

· Manages study supply chain KPI's, such as forecast accuracy, scrap, inventory, etc

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor Degree minimum

· Familiarity with supply chain environment

· Understands key supply chain processes and can balance cost and service to patients, including advanced understanding of the regulatory

· Ability to build queries, summarize data and compute standard KPI's, including financial skills


· Pragmatism and close attention to details

· Experience of working in teams and matrix organizations

· Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English

· Proactively identify, share and propose either resolution for operational problems/barriers or opportunity for improvement

· Ability to apply knowledge gained from problem solving
