Job Summary:

Our client is a successful independent pharma and healthcare communications agency that is based in Cheshire. They are currently seeking an experienced Medical Writer to join their team.

Our client is a successful independent pharma and healthcare communications agency that is based in Cheshire. They are currently seeking an experienced Medical Writer to join their team.

In this role, you will write and manage the production of high-quality printed and multimedia scientific and educational materials for clients in the pharmaceutical industry.  Working closely with clients across multiple therapy areas, you will build strong relationships with them and contribute towards them fulfilling their communication, marketing and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, write, or edit and proof a broad range of materials for medical and marketing pharmaceutical clients
  • Managing a portfolio of jobs across a range of clients and therapy areas
  • Provide editorial and on-site support in preparation for client-sponsored meetings
  • Contribute with ideas and scientific direction for the development of creative designs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • PhD and excellent undergraduate life science degree
  • Previous relevant editorial or  medical communications agency or considerable publications experience from academia required
  • Demonstrable competence in scientific and commercial writing and able to adapt tone and language to communicate effectively with different target audiences.
  • Excellent project/time-management and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of several therapeutic areas, medical products and the pharmaceutical industry
  • Awareness of the drug development process and pharmaceutical codes of practice
