Job Summary:

Here’s a chance to join a leading international agency as a Medical Editor and be based in their offices in London. You will ensure that documents and products are delivered to the highest possible quality in terms of clarity, accuracy, style and consistency to meet client needs.

Requirements:

Here’s a chance to join a leading international agency as a Medical Editor and be based in their offices in London. You will ensure that documents and products are delivered to the highest possible quality in terms of clarity, accuracy, style and consistency to meet client needs.

Our client works on the full range of medical communications materials as well as working in conjunction with creative and market access agencies so the work will be interesting and varied. This is a really social company that prides itself on its peoples’ development and progression and there is flexibility with the level of seniority for this role.

Editing:

  • Edit for content, consistency and clarity across a range of therapy areas and products to produce the highest quality material in accordance with company quality procedures
  • Evaluate briefs and take prompt and appropriate action where inadequacies are identified
  • Be the main point of contact for, and liaise effectively with, the Studio: supply approved copy, proofread and critically appraise layout to produce the highest quality material possible to meet print deadlines

Team Working:

  • Effectively brief other members of account teams as appropriate
  • Work with and support other Editors to ensure strong teamwork and consistency across the company
  • Develop close working relationships with team members thereby enabling provision of regular feedback on performance, directly and to Account Team Leaders / Line Managers
  • Develop an ability to liaise effectively with the client, opinion leaders and journals, acting as a point of contact according to the requirements of the account and proactively chasing for information when required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Life Science Degree
  • Previous editing experience gained within a medical communications environment
  • Experience of working across a range of materials and media
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
