Job purpose:

The Strategic PMR Data Analytics Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of advanced quantitative tools used to provide strategic insights that assist with brand development across the Novartis domains (Pharma, Oncology, Alcon, Sandoz). This will include the design and management of complex quantitative market research programs in several disease areas and functions. This will support decision making across the organization and support the PMR team to add value to combined methodology MR studies. They will be responsible and accountable for developing and growing this sub-service within the PMR team. The complex analysis manager will need to; Combine information from different sources, mainly market research to evaluate brands’ performance and market trends; Recommend solid research methodologies and statistical analysis techniques to support the business; Evaluate the success of marketing initiatives through market research using advanced statistical modelling. The PMR Complex Analysis Manager will be the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) and fully accountable within the PMR team for best practise leadership in the area of complex data analysis and its practical application

Key Responsibilities:

•Partner with PMR associates to understand and represent the department needs with respect to complex quantitative offering
•Own customer relationships on behalf of the Primary Market Research department
•Represent the views of PMR team in terms of regional / local interests, requirements, priorities, and business objectives and drive the service offering in collaboration with the PMR Franchise Leads
•Provide thought leadership and credibility in defining the PMR strategy for complex analysis
•Actively collaborates with Franchise Leads in developing proposals for effective provision of the sub-service Operational
•Develop and lead all complex quantitative offerings within the PMR team – this includes but not limited to designing of analysis offering like conjoint/ max diff/ segmentation/ correlation
•Act as subject matter expert within the team in recommending advanced analytical analysis
•Coordinate with the internal PMR team as well as key stakeholders to plan and design market research analyses based on a sound understanding of the research tools, techniques, datasets, and resources available and their use at various stages of the ‘product life-cycle’.
•Provide effective guidance to planning of studies, including questionnaire design and revisions to existing studies to add advanced statistical analysis
•Input and guide report structure to illustrate complex analysis in user friendly and easy to digest way
•Provide alternative proposals/different approaches and suggestions for optimization of approach and synergies with other studies executed or planned
•Implement and execute studies on local, regional & global level
•Design and implement new statistical methodologies, processes and/or solutions to strengthen current research practices
•Deliver on agreed-upon targets – assist with delivery of financial targets for PMR
•Foster a culture of innovation to anticipate future customer needs and promote areas for PMR service development
•Meet KPIs tied to performance to contribute to overall financial and department success.
•Support, guide and train PMR associates through understanding the area of complex analysis
•Drive a continuous improvement mind-set within the team in relation to data analysis
•Role model and leadership style in line with the Novartis V&Bs: inclusive, proactive, respectful, change agile and results driven, with a strong customer service focus

The Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC), Dublin, was set up in 2013 and is located in a state-of-the-art facility on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge. Minimum requirements

Requirements:

•Minimum: University degree BA/BS/MA degree in statistics/ mathematics, medicine, sciences, health economics
•Fluency in English, superior written composition skills
•Second European language desired
•8+ years previous work in market research / specialist agencies, within the analytical or marketing science department
•Significant experience of managing multi-methodology market research projects
•Ability to work with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment
•Ability to communicate effectively and to have a persuasive and credible presentation style
•Strong process/project management skills
•Strong business acumen and solution-orientation mindset
•Preferred: experience in remote relationships (on-shore/off-shore capability delivery).
•Preferred: Knowledge of the disease areas within the Pharma sector, with strong leadership and communication skills
