Job Summary:

Here at Syneos Health we are currently recruiting for a Manager Statistical Programming to be office or home based across EMEA. The position is part of our Strategic Resourcing group and is responsible to manage a team of Statistical Programmers across various countries.

Job Details:

  • Direct and coordinate statistical programming activities and assign staff to project teams.
  • Recruit, interview, and on-board candidates.
  • Participate in the development of department standard operating procedures and guidelines, conduct training and evaluate staffing needs.
  • Meet assigned financial goals
  • Provide input on forecasting and planning activities for department.
  • Interact with other departments to ensure a high level of client satisfaction through successful execution of projects.
  • Supporting business development activities.

Management responsibilities:

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor staff
  • Oversee development of direct reports by setting goals, conducting performance reviews, evaluating and monitoring training needs, creating development plans, mentoring, and coaching
  • Set priorities and schedule activities of departmental resources, implement company objectives, and create alternative solutions to address business and operational challenges



The ideal candidate will need the following experience / skills to be considered:

  • Undergraduate Degree, preferably in a scientific or statistical discipline
  • In lieu of degree, either community college diploma with two (2) years of programming experience or SAS certified programmers
  • Extensive relevant industry statistical programming experience, with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Previous management experience or demonstrated leadership ability
  • Proven ability to prioritize projects and manage resources
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken, with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade
