We are partnered with a leading medium sized global pharmaceutical company going through a massive period of expansion.  They are looking to go from 600 to 750 global employees in 2018 and to 1000 by 2020!  They have an impressive pipeline for a range of therapeutic areas and are looking for experienced professionals to grow with the company.  They have a mixture of “blockbuster” and “best in class” molecules in different stages of development and marketing (pre/post marketing).


  • Scientific Degree (MSc, BSc, Pharm)
  • 5+ years industry experience
  • 5+ years Project Management experience
  • Varied therapeutic area experience – including Oncology


  • To lead, direct and motivate cross-functional project teams.
  • Collaborate with team members include representatives from development, commercial, technical supply, business development and legal where appropriate.
  • To coordinate establishment of the product development and/or life-cycle strategy (goals, timelines, budgets, resources) in line with the company business plan to optimize product value
  • Ensure core project documentation is maintained e.g. Product Development Plans, target
  • Ensure that project progresses in accordance with the agreed strategy, timelines and budget or that any variations are accounted for, justified and approved.
  • Identify and review project issues and manage conflict resolution.
  • To contribute expertise to company to assist in the formation and execution of the company business strategy, licensing activities and portfolio management.
  • Ensure effective alliance management with development partners i.e. quality, cost and time management.
  • Ensure effective communication processes to ensure accurate, timely and appropriate project-related information is presented internally (to the project team and management) and externally as required (at conferences, with collaborators, with partners).
  • Provide regular updates on project development activities, milestones and budget to senior management.
  • To review resource requirements with the department heads. With functional representative on the team identify areas where appropriate expertise is not available in-house and agree the most appropriate strategy for obtaining the expertise.
