Requirements:

This role will be responsible for assisting in the completion and reconciliation of Global payroll on a monthly basis, posting, completion and reconciliation of Deltek time sheets and providing support to the HR and Payroll team to achieve business objectives.

This role is responsible for payroll and time sheet activities globally.  Training will be provided on the job with regard to processes and systems, however, applications must be able to demonstrate basic payroll knowledge and a real enthusiasm for learning.  Intermediate level Excel is also a requirement for the role.

 ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Proactive management of Global payroll and Deltek/Timesheet related activities to ensure all timesheets are posted on time and correctly.
  • Retrieval of Payroll output using ADP SOP,
  • Payroll reconciliation to timesheet data in Excel
  • Support to the payroll team

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Payroll & Accounting

 Work on Global payrolls as assigned

  • Develop and maintain a good knowledge of the company’s payroll, finance processes and procedures and the accounting system relating to required activities.
  • Apply good basic accounting knowledge and techniques to all areas of payroll and timesheet work, including the production of journals and reconciliations.
  • Create accounting journals for payroll and post journals into the accounting system CostPoint.
  • Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies and find solutions to repetitive errors to eliminate.

 

Deltek/Timesheet Management

 

  • Accountability and responsibility for Deltek/Timesheet management from end to end each cycle
  • Timesheets – uploads weekly and twice monthly of all Global companies
  • Send reminders and export timesheets to CostPoint and posting.
  • Proactively manage the Deltek Mailbox, answering queries and questions in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the PTO Accrual set up of all Employees.

 

For commercial success:

  • Ensure that the timesheets are reconciled and posted on time each period and all queries resolved
  • Manage any assigned payroll meeting deadlines for processing and payment
  • Proactively support the payroll team and strive for process improvements within the department

Other

  • Participate in corporate initiatives and actions that ensure the continued success of the company
  • Other activities as designated
  • Support the Payroll team on any other duty or project to support the payroll/Deltek timesheet & finance activities in Premier Research when required

 

EDUCATION, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

 

  1. Educational Background:
  • Good basic education.
  1. Experience
  • Experience with payroll/finance related environment helpful but not required.
  • Strong Microsoft and particularly Excel skills to enable easy extraction of data in excel and data comparison.
  • Able to demonstrate aptitude of using figures.
  • Experience on US payroll would be an advantage but not required.

  • Good time management for meeting strict deadlines.

  • Hands-on approach vital.
  • Second language is not essential though clear communication skills are a must.
