Roche Product Development Neuroscience (PDN) is seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist (Sr. CS) to join its anti-myostatin adnectin (RG6206) development team.  RG6206 is being developed as a potential best-in-disease therapy for the treatment of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a progressive, life-shortening genetic disorder mainly affecting young boys.  The Senior Clinical Scientist assists the Clinical Science Leader (CSL) in all areas of project and study planning, evaluation, documentation and medical monitoring, including IND and annual report development, protocol development, medical monitoring for patients in the program and ongoing clinical review for safety. You would be responsible for all scientific aspects in a study.

  • You assist in the timely medically and scientifically sound development of the clinical portions of an integrated development plan (IDP).
  • You assist with the quality and timely preparation of all Product Development Clinical (PDC) documents submitted for approval.
  • You ensure GCP, Clinical Operating Guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed within PDC.
  • You liaise with appropriate departments inside and outside PDC to define the timing of discussion with the FDA and other regulatory bodies on format of clinical NDA and submission issues.
  • You assist in the preparation of clinical progress reports for regulatory agencies before they are reviewed by line managers.
  • You ensure correct data interpretation including interim and Final Study Reports before they are approved.
  • You liaise and communicate with Marketing and coordinate clinical efforts on the project-related issues and you assist in the preparation of abstracts, posters, and oral communication for scientific meetings.

We are looking for a professional with a PhD or equivalent qualification, good medical competence, and experience in clinical trials, preferably Phase II / III. A background in neuromuscular disease (e.g., DMD, SMA) basic or clinical research is preferred. In addition:
  • You are a strong team player and have the ability to broaden your knowledge base and to get “up to speed” on a new indication within six months.
  • You are able to evaluate, interpret & synthesize scientific data; you can verbally present and critically discuss clinical trial data in internal and external meetings.
  • You have excellent verbal & written communication skills in English. You have an international perspective.
