Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, are currently recruiting for a Regional Medical Advisor. This is a 1 year contract role. As an RMA you would be a member of a highly professional organisation and an important member of the Clinical, Medical & Regulatory department, reporting to the Clinical, Medical and Regulatory Director.

The Job 
The role of the RMA is to engage with healthcare professionals in high level scientific & clinical exchanges on current marketed products and pipeline compounds thereby enabling our customers to make informed decisions relating to available / investigational products. A central responsibility of the job is to build relationships with key customers and relevant institutions to increase knowledge of company products and patient value provided by the company. The role is also responsible for the implementation of Irish KOL engagement plans and for the provision of responses to medical information queries, support for product campaign development & implementation, Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) and for product and therapy area training,

The role requires collaborative working with marketing, sales and medical colleagues, with a responsibility to build local credibility personally and on behalf of the company.
 
This is a 1 year contract and will be based out of our Dublin office, with travel within Ireland on a regular basis, as well as occasional travel within Europe.

Qualifications

  • Hold an MBChB (or equivalent) MSc. or PhD in relevant discipline.
  • Ideally you will also have experience in the diabetes therapy areas and an in-depth knowledge of the Irish Healthcare system. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain good relationships with healthcare professionals. 
  • Responsible, accountable, have high focus on timely delivery, concern for detail and quality of data.  
  • Proven decision making and problem solving capabilities and an ability to work both independently and as a proactive team member.  
  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude with specialist IT systems (MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint), have good planning & organisational skills as well as effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • A customer oriented personality with high degree of ethics and ambition; ability to manage multiple priorities and willingness to adjust quickly to new situations in a continuously developing environment.
  • Must hold a valid driving licence and be flexible to meet the mobility requirement of this pivotal role.
