Job Purpose:

Provide management, direction and leadership to the Digital Media group to ensure the highest quality service to our clients, within budget and on time and achieve service line delivery and growth. Through a comprehensive understanding of MedCom’s offerings and processes, clients and the healthcare industry, contribute to and lead the development of innovative and effective digital service offerings. Provide strategic direction, delivery and thought leadership on digital media initiatives, across new business opportunities and existing accounts.

  • Global day-to-day operational leadership and management of the digital media team to ensure client-focused, profitable, and timely delivery of all projects and programs to the highest of standards
  • In depth understanding of the department’s service offerings and processes and lead operations efficiently
  • Build effective partnerships with delivery teams, Managers, Directors, and VPs within MedCom and PAREXEL, as well as with external partners, to ensure mutual understanding of client needs and that business objectives are achieved
  • Provide digital media/delivery strategy (understand technology landscape,), input, and direction on new business opportunities and key accounts and confidently recommend solutions to clients reflective of strategic and innovative thinking, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of MedCom’s service offerings
  • Proactively seek out, develop and lead the generation of new or repeat business due to leveraging of personal relationships within client group or history of client satisfaction and/or relationship
  • Develop, lead and implement in conjunction with account leads, designated medical communication programs, providing input and strategic digital media content for a range of programs according to client needs
  • Develop/provide input into scoping and budgeting of projects and programs and support financial monitoring to maximize profitability of assigned projects
QualificationsSkills:
  • Highly IT literate –experience with programming languages, content management systems, databases and server architecture desirable
  • Strong client-focused approach to work, ability to relate to key client personnel in an assertive and professional manner, confident handling of difficult scenarios or client dissatisfaction
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to negotiate with other departments and resolve conflicts
  • Excellent interpretation and application skills
  • Excellent quality control (attention to details, process application, consistency, and SOP adherence)
  • Effective project management, problem solving, facilitation, and advocacy development skills
  • Flexible approach with respect to work assignments and new learning
  • Proven ability to train and develop people and undertake skills assessment, identifying business needs, creating development plans to address gaps, and resolving performance issues promptly and effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks with positivity and prioritize workload with attention to detail
  • Willingness to work in a matrix environment and to value the importance of teamwork.
  • Willingness to undertake continuous professional learning and development

Knowledge and Experience:
  • Extensive agency and/or client experience and proven authoritative interactions with clients and IT professionals
  • In-depth experience in delivery of the key offerings and services within medical education (MedCom)
  • Demonstrated versatility in gaining in-depth technology understanding and adept at understanding complex requirements and their project implications
  • Demonstrated experience as a digital media and strategy subject matter expert providing communication delivery input to accounts
  • Solid digital media background, a depth and breadth of technical and strategy experience
  • Managing people

Education:
  • Relevant qualification and equivalent industry experience in a similar role required
