Job Summary:

Opportunity at a leading biopharma for a Pharmacist or Medic looking to move into Rare Diseases to provide strategic & tactical medical support for the UK market. Strong pipeline with a launch scheduled for 2018.

BACKGROUND

Our client is a global specialty-driven biotechnological group with more than 20 drugs in more than 115 countries. Their ambition is to become a leader in specialty healthcare solutions for targeted debilitating diseases. Its fields of expertise cover oncology, neurosciences and endocrinology.

Working on recently launched product and comprehensive pipeline with a new launch expected in 2018.

Reports to the Medical Affairs Manager.

Opportunity for a Medic or Pharmacist to break into the oncology and endocrinology area.

PRIMARY DUTIES

This position provides strategic and tactical medical advice and expertise for the Rare Diseases portfolio.

The job holder will be expected to know and develop close contacts with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

Through these contacts and understandings lead on the medical strategy and ensure the completion of scientific project, and clinical trial initiatives that will deliver the medical department objectives.

Lead on the medical contribution to the delivery of the cross functional brand plans and medium view commercial plans to ensure the company objectives are met.

To liaise with the Medical Affairs Manager to ensure accurate phasing and accounting for Medical Affairs Projects.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

You will be a fully GMC registered medic or GPhC registered Pharmacist with expertise in Medical Affairs and will be an ABPI Final Signatory. Experience in Oncology would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite.
