Key Accountabilities:

The Cell Therapy Technologies Business Manager will provide leadership and supervision to field-based Cell Processing Specialists involved in the implementation of cell therapy applications. Exercise considerable judgment in determining objectives and approaches that will meet the needs of the business. Develops, validates, and/or manages the delivery of annual goals for the Cell Therapy Technologies Clinical Specialists. Responsible for deliverables based on Forecasting/Planning/Implementing business initiatives. Works with minimal direction.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

· Works with a high degree of independence to lead and develop field based Cell Processing Specialists into a high performance team.

· Work with the Global and Regional Clinical, Technical and Customer Support Teams to integrate product support activities such as call schedules with sales consultants, product training, and live and web based training for internal colleagues and clients.

· Works closely with Global and Regional marketing to ensure market drivers/needs are adequate to achieve business needs.

· Assist with produce enhancements, collaborates on developing existing product solutions that meet customer needs.

· Help Plan/Develop/Implement the introductory commercialization plans for specific new products or product enhancements to ensure proper positioning strategies. Coordinates pre-launch, launch and post-launch activities.

· Evaluates communication and documentation programs and support tools for effectiveness through customer and sales force feedback as well as objective research.

· Establishes and is held accountable for the achievement of unit grown and market share/penetration goals for specific products and/or market segments.

· Assists customers, marketing and sales personnel through the provision of in-service assistance and marketing program. Analyse and resolve problems. Assist customers in the optimal use of products.

· Develops compensation plan for Cell Processing Specialists group to meet business goals.


· PhD preferable, or a minimum of Master's Degree and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

Minimum Work Experience

· Extensive experience with cell culture, cell processing and/or cell therapy development

· Must have high technical/clinical acumen needed for advanced problem solving


· Demonstrated and effective leadership, managerial and interpersonal skills

· Extensive knowledge of product applications and the market opportunities

· Advanced communication skills and techniques for conflict management

· Ability to learn/develop knowledge of sales/marketing strategic planning and program delivery

· Demonstrated analytical thinking skills and the ability to solve problems and develop programs with creativity and good judgement

· Extensive knowledge of market mechanisms for disposables/capital equipment goals

· Ability to assess customer needs and market trends within the context of product and business capabilities and the ability to translate this assessment into a workable growth strategy

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

· Ability to manage and develop direct reports while managing to achieve business goals on a consistent basis.

Travel will be required as part of this role >50%.
