Job Summary:

Unique Business Development Manager position with project management responsibilities, with a direct input into the organisations strategy plans.


I am working closely with the UKs leading life science membership organisation, renowned for their annual networking exhibitions across the UK and Europe. They have an opening for a band new Business Development Manager to join their vibrant Commercial Team to keep up with the influx in member companies and investors signing up.
This is a unique diverse role, working closely with the majority of the leading life science R&D companies, the investor community and a large scope of other related industries, with a direct influence into the companies strategy plans.
Candidates for this position will have experience of working in the life science sector in sales or business development, and able to show their large networking capabilities in a professional and confident manor.


Outward-facing role, working from a suitably located home-based office.

Sales of membership, sponsorship, and all variables relating to exhibitions and events, dealing with a broad range of clients from small bio-tech start ups to the largest Pharmaceutical companies on the globe.

Taking lead in regards to revenue generation, mainly with new sponsors and member companies. Some current examples include GSK, Eli Lilly and Harwell.

Reporting directly to the CEO, and actively inputting into the companies strategy plans, with a direct line of communication to the board of directors also.

Regularly travel across the UK and Europe to meet with CEOs and CFOs of new clients, broadening the Network of the company and yourself.
