This is a great chance to join a growing Healthcare PR Agency as a Programme Director in a leadership role and be based in their offices in Central London. Our client is seeking an ambitious candidate who is looking for exciting products to work on, within a friendly and supportive environment.

The Programme Director is responsible for account management and strategy, client relations and team management. You will handle a wide range of assignments and offer effective counsel to clients on complex issues and problems, as well as contributing to smooth running of the agency through internal responsibilities. Specifically you will be working on global brand communications, policy and advocacy communications, and some NGO support, across therapy areas including oncology and neurology.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement large client plans on time and in budget
  • Develop strategies and provide senior-level client counsel
  • Ensure full understanding of the scientific aspects of programmes by team members
  • Build client teams, and distribute and supervise workload among team members
  • Build skills and capabilities of others through coaching, guidance and training
  • Clearly communicate all time and budget guidelines to team members
  • Present the company’s credentials at informal and formal meetings
  • Assume responsibility for profitability of designated client programmes, develop, manage, adhere to and reconcile budgets

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Educated to Degree level
  • Previous experience of managing a team within a healthcare PR agency environment and have experience of working on global accounts
  • Senior-level writing, presentation and strategic/creative skills
  • Strong network of public relations contacts
  • Excellent industry knowledge and familiarity with current industry trends
  • Ability to develop communication plans and/or programmes
  • Team player
