Job Summary:

Ideal for a Senior Medical Writer with 5 years of experience in a medical communications agency or equivalent organization. This will be to work predominantly on slide decks in the areas of gastrointestinal and rare diseases.

This agency is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to join its UK-based operation to support a growing portfolio of medical communication and education activities. In collaboration with leading pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals, they develop tailor-made materials, delivered via a range of digital or print media, that resonate with target audiences.

Role Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality, clear and accurate scientific content, including medical education and congress-related materials, training resources, satellite symposia, and standalone meetings
  • Perform high-level, efficient reviewing and editing of materials
  • Provide scientific leadership on certain projects and act as a main point of contact for clients
  • Provide scientific strategic counsel to clients
  • Provide onsite assistance at meetings and events
  • Identify and support new business development activities
  • Liaise with other team members, e.g., medical writers, project managers and designers, to coordinate projects

  • Ability to quickly learn new therapy areas

  • Self-disciplined and highly motivated approach
  • Confident in liaising with clients and key opinion leaders, and with leading teleconferences
  • Ability to work within timelines and budgets
  • Fully competent in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and EndNote (or similar reference library software)
