Job Summary:

Immediately available Pharmacist with Medical Information / Medical Affairs experience required to join a Global Pharmaceutical Organisation as a Global Medical Information Officer. Nine to ten month Fixed Term Contract.

Global Pharmaceutical Company based to West of London

Office based position

To contribute to an upgrade project in the medical team

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

Your key responsibility will be to co-ordinate provision of Global Medical Information services and to provide Medical support to Global functions. Office based role to the West of London.

Duties include:

Reviewing medical reference materials for non-promotional content, accuracy and appropriate referencing

Contributing to the development, approval and update of Standard Response Documents, and other Central Medical reference materials for assigned products and therapy areas for use by affiliates and Global Marketing

Monitoring Global Medical Affairs mailbox, review assigned electronic alerts and disseminate information as appropriate, according to product responsibilities

Working with Global Marketing on the production of materials in which there is a high degree of medical content and represent Medical Affairs at Brand team meetings as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

A qualified pharmacist with European registration or similar scientific qualification is essential for the job

Experience of dealing with medical information enquiries from patients and healthcare professionals essential (at least one year)

Knowledge of regulations as applicable to the provision of medical information to healthcare professionals and members of the public

Experience in identifying adverse events and reports of special situations essential

Knowledge of applicable Codes of Practice and keeping up to date with applicable case law desirable

Working knowledge of Zinc system to approve materials desirable

Experience of delivering scientific training via presentations or individual meetings to internal and external customers desirable
