We have partnered with a publicly traded clinical stage biotech that work on innovative targeted immunotherapies that are looking for a Senior Director of Clinical Research focused on Oncology/Hematology based in New York City. This is an unrivaled opportunity to join a rapidly growing biotech that utilizes their own proprietary technology to target isotopes directly to affected cells. They currently have 4 products in phase 3 development with a 5th on the way this year. This means they have an incredibly strong pipeline moving forward.

The Senior Director Clinical Research will provide leadership, moving the progression of one of the company’s leading drug candidates through all phases of clinical development. You will have the sole responsibility for the design and execution of the clinical development program. This is an amazing prospective opportunity with exciting progression opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the clinical development of one of the company’s lead assets and executes efficient, high-quality therapeutic programs based on the highest scientific, medical and regulatory standards
  • Represents the company to outside medical/scientific experts; recruits/screens/selects competent sites/investigators; organizes investigators meetings and conducts other relevant activities to support development objectives.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the company’s medical communications strategy for one or more assets including internal and external messaging, publication in appropriate peer review journals and presentations at scientific meetings
  • Designs, implements and monitors clinical trials through the stage of successful product approvals
  • Prepares the clinical portion of INDs, New Drug Applications (NDAs) and Biologic License Applications (BLAs), including protocols, investigator brochures, informed consent forms, case report forms, medical reports, safety and efficacy summaries, scientific rationales and benefit/risk ratios.
  • Assures that Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) are followed; ensures timely completion of studies; monitors safety and efficacy trends by reviewing clinical data; and writes clinical reports upon completion of studies.
  • Ensures that appropriate objectives are met and that Company resources are effectively utilized to meet strategic product development plans by developing a timetable, budget and resource analysis for clinical programs and personnel administration.


  • MD or equivalent degree required. Additional Ph.D. preferred.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training and certification in Oncology or Hematology. Hematopoietic stem cell transplant experience preferred.
  • 5-8+ years in industry designing, leading and managing clinical trials, preferably in the oncology space.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the drug development process. Experience managing Phase 3 clinical studies would be a plus.
  • Both big Pharma and small company experience a must.
  • Track record partnering with commercial teams to build value of commercial assets
  • Strong scientific publication record
  • Knowledge of GCP, FDA regulations and guidelines, and applicable international regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience interacting with regulatory agencies would be desirable.

In exchange for your hard work and dedication, you will be offered a generous remuneration package inclusive of a basic salary of $220,000 - $275,000 plus benefits, 20-25% annual bonus. relocation package offered if necessary
