Our client is a full service medical communications agency offering integrated communications on international and global accounts. Business growth leads them to seek a Senior Medical Writer to join their team in their London office.

Requirements:

Our client is a full service medical communications agency offering integrated communications on international and global accounts. Business growth leads them to seek a Senior Medical Writer to join their team in their London office.

The overall responsibility of the Senior Medical Writer is to act as the scientific, editorial and creative lead on key accounts, and to support the more senior staff leading their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and manage delivery of scientific content for a range of medical communications activities that meet client needs, quality standards and timelines
  • Builds and maintain strong relationships with clients and acts as a point of contact for day to day enquiries
  • Contribute to strategy discussions, e.g. attend client strategy meetings and contribute ideas
  • Efficiently and effectively manage projects
  • Mentor more junior members of the team
  • Travel to meetings and conferences and act as an on-site resource for the client providing writing and project management services

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A life science degree, ideally a Master’s degree or PhD
  • Previous medical writing experience gained within a medical communications agency or scientific publishing environment
  • Advanced writing skills with an excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence and competence with key software, enabling development of professional-looking presentations
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, including ability to prioritise and balance multiple priorities and demands
  • Excellent presentation skills with an ability to facilitate internal and external meetings
  • Proven client relationship capabilities
  • Team player
