One of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies is looking for a Validation Engineer to join their site as they build a state of the art facility. This leading pharmaceutical company is looking for an experienced Validation Engineer to come in and deliver a high performance on this 6-month project which is focused on the commissioning, qualification and validation of new manufacturing equipment. This full-time role is based at their manufacturing site in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to get on board with one of the industries leading companies and has a reputation as being a great company to work for.

This company have invested significantly into capital projects in Dublin, with the building of a state of the art facility including manufacturing site and laboratory.

This project is part of a new manufacturing unit meaning it’s an exciting time to join this company and with the amount of projects running concurrently, further contract work is likely upon completion of the assignment.

Role Responsibilities

Working as a Validation Engineer at this manufacturing site your main responsibilities will be:

  • Full qualification and validation of on-site utilities and equipment in a bio- pharmaceutical manufacturing environment eg. Autoclaves, lyophilisers, AHU, Steam Systems, WFIs, Isolators
  • Writing and executing documentation and protocols including URS, FMEA, DQ, IQ, OQ, and VMP.
  • Ensure compliance to current cGMP standards by liaising with QA with necessary to implement any change controls or CAPAs as necessary.
  • Participate in the successful completion of HPRA and FDA inspections as part of a to get the site fully operational.

This role is ideal for a Validation Engineer contractor that has experience working with a wide range of manufacturing equipment and facilities and is knowledgeable of overall GMP QA requirements to allow them to liaise with the Quality Manager when required.


Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in science, pharmacy, biological science or engineering field is preferred.
  • Hands-on international validation experience in pharmaceutical/ biotech industry.
  • Wide range of qualification experience across different equipment and utility types.
  • Experience and the ability to carry out full IQ, DQ, CQ, OQ, and PQ protocols
  • Packaging and cold chain validation experience is preferred.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work well in teams or independently and the ability to prioritise work and manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and compliance
