We are currently looking to strengthen our Business Development team in Europe and are seeking a Director, Business Development to join our company.


A brief summary of duties you will be involved in as Director, Business Development:

• Responsible for developing and fostering relationships with key decision-makers at biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies with complementary development pipelines to secure business opportunities for Syneos Health in an assigned geographical location

• From analyzing industry activity, develop annual business plan for specific market segments and assigned accounts. Participate with management in the development and implementation of the sales plan which will include forecasting territory sales and activity objectives. Review annual business plan on a quarterly basis to determine where adjustments may be required

• Plan and implement monthly objectives of the sales action plan, including budgeting of time and resources, and communicate with staff, as appropriate, to achieve sales action goals and objectives

• Develop account strategies for all appropriate clients. Anticipate and identify client challenges, real and perceived, that may evolve from time to time and partners with the appropriate operations team leader to provide solutions in accordance with Syneos Health policies and procedures




To succeed in this role you will need the following skills/experience:

• Degree in a science related field or equivalent related experience

• Experience in clinical research

• Experience in business development

• Business development experience in a full service CRO is a strong asset

• Effective presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills with a strong team-oriented approach

• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary
