Job Summary:

On behalf of my client, a dynamic and growing pharmaceutical company in the Dublin area, I am recruiting for a permanent Utilities/Energy Engineer. In this exciting new opportunity you will be part of the Technical Services Department in this role, reporting into the Projects and Site Engineering Lead.


Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the site Utilities (e.g. compressed air, Nitrogen, Plant Steam, Low Pressure Hot Water, Air Handling Units)
  • Managing the site Energy Management and Reduction Program
  • Investigating Environmental Excursions.
  • Support the process change control system.
  • Managing energy performance on site and to drive the energy reduction program across the site.
  • To look for opportunities for development of existing Site Utilities and Systems to facilitate optimum operation of these systems.
  • Ensuring that the preventative maintenance system (PEMAC) for the Site Utilities and Systems is kept up to date.
  • Ensuring appropriate technical response to issues influencing product quality arising from the Site Utilities department.
  • Ensuring that site Utilities are in compliance with all requirements (i.e. FDA, HPRA, EHS, etc.).
  • To manage the plant documentation in this area so that these systems are kept current for the maintenance team.


Experience and Desirable Qualities:

  • Engineering Degree or similar qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Utilities/Energy Engineering role
  • Ability to work with autonomy and drive progress
