Job Purpose
The Surgical Managed Service Manager is responsible for designing and executing on Managed Service Contracts for external customers of Alcon. This will take the form of developing Managed Service proposals for a variety of external stakeholders to ensure customers’ needs are met effectively.
In this role you will be working with internal and external stakeholders to design proposals which can improve the efficiency and efficacy of customers’ surgical departments across the United Kingdom. You will also be responsible for the strategic account management of key customers including health care provider institutions both in the private and public sector.
Over time we anticipate that the Alcon Managed Service Proposition will change in line with customer needs; in this position you will be responsible for shaping the direction and strategy of this service to ensure that the proposition provided to customers is as relevant as possible to their requirements.

What are we looking for?

This role would suit applicants from a variety of backgrounds including consultancy, surgical sales and project management/professional services. The Managed Services department within Alcon operates like a startup and as a result the scope of this role is significant and would be yours to shape. Some of the major accountabilities of the role would include:

• Local business development lead of Legally and Compliance approved Managed Service proposals
• Local lead point of contact for external stakeholders (health care providers and any other appropriate contacts during business development and execution of Managed Service Proposition)
• Accountable for leading the tactical and technical execution of a Managed Service contract
• Accountable for leading the transformation and optimisation of a customer service based on pre-defined service output KPIs
• Build NHS managed service stakeholder network for territory
• Build territory business plan – for launch and engagement with key customers
• Maintain up to date understanding of customer environment including NHS policy changes and HMRC rulings

Minimum requirements

Who we are looking for:
• Degree Qualification – Preferred
• Project management / NHS transformation experience – Preferred
• Medtech industry experience – Preferred
• Background in Medical Device Sales/Consultancy/Project Management
