Job purpose:

To derive insight and intelligence from commissioning/payor environment to inform Novartis strategies and brand plans; to develop compelling payer value propositions to drive funding, including development and execution of marketing plans, specific programmes, activities and materials; to generate payor customer advocacy with national policy & commissioning influencers and to identify opportunities to optimise NHS pathways to create opportunities for Novartis brands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate NHS environmental insights into commercial intelligence; maintain a thor-ough knowledge of the NHS, health policy, commissioning process and the purchaser/ provider interface and identify and anticipate future customer needs, constraints and requirements; interpret key national policies & priorities to inform brand plans.
• Define and drive local market access strategies for priority brands and new products, informing 3P process, local development plans and integrated product strategies, to maximize funding for Novartis brands.
• Establish compelling payer value propositions for priority brands, working cross functionally with extended brand teams; develop and execute marketing plans, specific programmes, activities and materials within agreed budgets.
• Coordinate training plans for Healthcare Development team around priority brand tools and materials and key environmental development.
• Identify, map, and develop relationships with key national policy and commissioning. influencers/stakeholders to generate advocacy for Novartis brands
• Optimise local NHS pathways to create opportunities for Novartis brands; identify service gaps/inefficiencies/variation which could impact uptake of Novartis products; develop and showcase best practice service models/redesign and galvinise stakeholder to implement change.

Key external interfaces include: National policy and commissioning influencers from a variety of NHS organisations: NHS Commissioning Board, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Commissioning Support Units, Strategic Clinical Networks, Academic Health Science Networks, and Providers as well as relevant professional and patient organisations
Key internal interfaces include: Franchise Heads, Brand Leads, & Extended Brand Teams; Regional Healthcare Development Managers & Healthcare Development Managers; Government Affairs; Communications; Commercial; TA Heads, Scientific Advisors & MSLs; KAM and Service Development Teams; M&S Operations and Strategy; Finance.

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

BSc/BA and/or MBA/MSc
Leadership Experience.
Cross-functional working.

Proven success in managing influential customer interface, ideally with local market access customers.
