Due to company growth , my client is searching for an experienced Medical Writer who is looking to work in a vibrant company with different therapy areas.


Medical Writer (MW)
Up to £43,000 DOE

Due to company growth , my client is searching for an experienced Medical Writer who is looking to work in a vibrant company with different therapy areas. You will need the right blend of skills to produce high-quality communications, and the ability to liaise directly and effectively with clients and clinical experts.

• Understands and maintains therapy area and commercial landscape knowledge
• Understands and, with direction, implements the desired strategy, reflecting a wider knowledge of the therapy area and commercial landscape

• Works largely independently, demonstrating strong scientific writing, editing and data comprehension skills on a range of project types
- Content: is consistently judged as accurate, clear, on brief and appropriate to the – audience/communication objective, and demonstrates an understanding of core scientific principles
- Content development: reflects appropriate formatting, referencing and annotation of – deliverables
- Feedback: is integrated accurately and contributes to acquired learning
• Develops content in compliance with all project process steps and record-keeping requirements (ensures all projects are submitted in line with Scientific Services review and Editorial requirements; complies with server use mandates, naming conventions and other client-specific requirements in scope)
• Attends and contributes to internal project briefing/discussion meetings
• Demonstrates the ability to work to quality, budget, time and accuracy standards

Other responsibilities

• Takes responsibility for own Personal Development Plan (PDP)
• Regularly seeks opportunities to learn and grow professionally by:
• Maximizing exposure to new opportunities –
• Making the most of training opportunities both in teams and via self-directed learning – modules
• From time to time, MWs may also be expected to work on weekends (e.g. attend scientific meetings, congresses etc.), to undertake any of the duties of junior staff as necessary, and to carry out duties that arise from sickness or holidays of other staff

• Good computer literacy in common applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
