Our client, a global pharmaceutical manufacturing & development company, partnered with the very best in the biopharmaceutical industry, is looking to bring on board a number of Senior Production Technologists for their Microbial Manufacturing Team at multiple levels, To perform technology transfer into, and carry out manufacturing operations within FFDB UK Manufacturing Facilities whilst providing first line supervision of Production Technologists


1. Carry out changeover and manufacturing activities on all manufacturing unit operations for which the job holder is trained. Operate new plant, processes and at-line analysis to agreed protocols including data recording as required for qualification protocols, batch records, batch cleaning records, logbooks and plant history.

2. Demonstrate leadership within the manufacturing environments ensuring relevant standards for EHS and GMP are maintained whilst carrying out manufacturing activities.

3. Take ownership of a specified area of the manufacturing assets, ensuring suitable SHE and GMP standards within that area are maintained whilst carrying out manufacturing activities.

4. Operate, monitor and sample all utility systems for which the job holder is trained.

5. Perform the day to day logistics required to achieve overall manufacturing targets, including raw materials and consumables handling as per the production schedule.

6. Raise and investigate events, deviations and non-conformances as required.

7. Plan and execute commissioning, qualification and plant set up activities according to GMP requirements identified during the tech transfer process. Ensure plant readiness prior to campaign start up.

8. Liaise with development and engineering personnel in order to conduct plant and process troubleshooting. Raise engineering notifications and perform equipment diagnostics.

9. Ensure compliance with the appropriate Regulatory standards (e.g. GMP and SHE) by participation in training, audits, manufacturing campaign risk assessments/reviews and design reviews/ Hazard Studies.

10. Act as equipment owner for designated systems ensuring relevant EHS and GMP assessments and systems are in place.


1. The individual must have a sound knowledge and experience of manufacturing operations, plant equipment and how the manufacturing plants link to site utilities. Using this plant knowledge to lead by example whilst manufacturing API materials.

2. The individual will possess a strong SHE and quality compliance ethos, will lead by example and demonstrate the ability to challenge unacceptable practices.

3. The individual will demonstrate an understanding of manufacturing within a GMP environment and the requirement to apply appropriate standards. They must have the necessary skills to deal confidently with customers and during inspections.

4. Due to the inter-departmental interaction associated to the role the individual must have excellent interpersonal skills which will enable effective communication.

5. Have a can-do mentality and can influence others to ensure the asset requirements are met.
