Job Summary:

Working with a world-class specialty pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a Commercial Director with a primary responsibility for driving product sales, increasing contribution and margin in Germany. You will be responsible for the successful implementation of commercial and operational programs within the country, including activities related to market access and sales activities.

  • Build and develop the local organisation, achieving business objectives related to product revenues, market share growth and profitability
  • Take ownership and accountability for achievement of the company’s market goals and objectives in Germany
  • Develop and implement local operational plans to deliver goals and objectives
  • Support the business in the implementation of overall product strategies within Germany
  • Provide customer input to EU and Global Commercial for business reviews and market strategy development
  • Ensure rapid adoption of products in market including leveraging treatment guidelines and formulary acceptance for optimal inclusion / placement of product in the country
  • Ensure the required standards are met with regard to the selection, recruitment, management, development, retention, and training of the local (in-country) commercial field team
  • Ensure business processes are aligned with Corporate direction inclusive of distribution, pharmacovigilance, medical communications, scientific services, performance tracking, and industry operating guidelines

Govern product campaign implementation in collaboration with Global Marketing, Global/local Medical Affairs, and Global/local Market Access teams including:

  • local adaptation and production of local marketing materials and sales support
       materials from the ‘core’ programs developed by Global Commercial

Requirements:

  • Meaningful senior-level hospital sales and commercial team management experience in the pharmaceutical or medical devices industries
    Well-rounded professional, working across a wide range of projects, including experience / understanding of Marketing, Public Relations, Medical Education and Product Development
    Proven track record in hospital sales. Preferred experience in respiratory
    Experience in managing the entry of new products into the marketplace, including securing reimbursement, treatment guideline inclusions and formulary management
  • Proven Leadership
  • Fluent German
