Job description:
In your new position you will apply your M&S expertise to various research
projects in the areas of oncology and gynecological therapies. As M&S expert your
responsibilities will include planning and conducting of PK, PBPK and PK/PD modeling
approaches during drug discovery and early development. Your contributions will involve:
* Modeling of PK data using PK modeling software for non-compartmental and compartmental
analysis, including PBPK modeling and interspecies scaling
* Quantitative PK/PD analysis of efficacy readouts from dose-response studies in animal PD
and disease models, including mechanistic and pop PK approaches
* Predicting human PK and therapeutic dose regimen in patients
* Interpreting data, generating and testing hypotheses, preparing for decision makings,
reporting M&S results and presenting them at internal and external meetings



  • Knowledgeable in pharmacokinetics and pharmacology to design clinical PK/PD models and Disease and Biomarker models
  • Proficient in the design and interpretation of in vivo PK studies and Efficacy and Biomarker models to be able to address project-specific PK/PD issues and communicate clear
  • Understands the implications of preclinical and clinical data within the field of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics (including biologics), toxicology (including immunogenicity) and pharmaceutics to enable successful and effective transition of projects from early Discovery into Clinical
  • Understanding of human PK/PD modeling and human dose prediction and able to give clear recommendations for the design of clinical PK/PD
  • Passionate and effective communicator with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent team player able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting with a variety of personalities, but also able to work well
  • Able to work under pressure and in ambiguous situations, and dynamically manage project workload through planning and
  • Able to provide scientific and strategic influence across disciplines and between sites in support of project
  • Able to translate knowledge of emerging literature and science in the PK/PD area into new and innovative methods and applying those methods to support discovery

The qualified candidate will have a PhD degree in the area of Pharmaceutics, Biology or related discipline and proven scientific accomplishment in the Pharmaceutical industry, in a Drug Discovery/Development environment with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in PK/PD modeling (small molecules and biologics). Comprehensive appreciation of the Drug Discovery process of biologics is highly desirable.
