Requirements:

Are you a field training specialist or qualified nurse looking to play a key commercial support role in a world leading company in biotech and medical diagnostics, with Fortune 500 ranking?

Does it excite you to work with a diverse group of healthcare professionals to 'do now what patients need next'?

If you've replied to these questions in the affirmative, we welcome you to apply for an exciting field training opportunity within our Hospital and Community Point of Care, part of the market leading Point of Care Business Area of Roche Diagnostics.

Roche Diagnostics UK & Ireland is in an exciting phase of growth, where the business is channelling its energy, focus, functions and processes towards enhancing customer and patient experience in the countries it operates in. As the medical diagnostics market-leader in UK & Ireland, the organisation recognises its responsibility to the healthcare system and will continue to remain agile in developing new ways of working, with a growth mind set.

Our Point of Care team specialises in the provision of near patient testing equipment to healthcare professionals within the primary and secondary care environment.  Our highly engaged small team of field based Training Specialists are committed to providing our customers with first class induction to our testing portfolio including blood glucose, blood gas, coagulation meters and associated software solutions.

Reporting to the UK Training Specialist Manager, you will be responsible for delivering basic to advanced education programmes across the UK.  Pivotal to your role will be your ability to excel in the art of building upon and providing excellent customer service experience through the delivery of high quality, diverse and customised training programmes in line with the patient pathway strategy.

With a strong focus on customer satisfaction you will closely collaborate with the sales team at tender stage and post-award, thus seizing every opportunity to expand the customer relationship for the contract life time.   You will influence the way the Point of Care Service is developed on site. Therefore you will have the ability to coach key stakeholders to facilitate change as part of the Roche implementation team during new service roll-outs.

The successful candidate is either located in the Cambridgeshire region, ideally around Peterborough or willing to relocate to the said area. This territory will broadly reach out to Roche customers around Norwich, Cambridge and up to Sheffield areas.

Who you are

Degree educated or equivalent you will have a proven track record delivering training sessions and ideally hold either a nursing or training qualification.  Knowledge of NHS and Primary and Secondary Care organisations is highly desirable but not essential.

You have a track record in coordinating learning experiences from early design of a service roll out to delivery & complete handover of medical solutions.  Ideally, you will have gained this experience within the healthcare industry, preferably in a hospital environment.

You will need to be proactive, flexible, highly organised, self-motivated, and possess the innate ability to win hearts and minds whilst challenging the status quo. With excellent presentation and communication skills, you are a focused problem solver, able to engage at all levels with customers, and this especially during period of significant change.

Investing in you

Roche is a company that not only invests in its business - over £6.5 billion in R&D worldwide, including £460 million in the UK alone last year - but equally importantly in its people.

What this means for you is, not only a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, but also a recognised product training programme and continuous support to build on your knowledge, skills and potential, helping you prepare for the exciting opportunities for further career development.

All of which has gained Roche 2018 Top Employer status in the UK and Europe.

Roche is an equal opportunity employer.
