Our client has a new position open for an entry level/graduate Clinical Trials Administrator. The Primary purpose of the CTA is to assist the Clinical Trials Manager (CTM), maintain and co-ordinate the logistical aspects of clinical trials in compliance with Good Clinic Practice (GCP) and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Reporting directly to the Clinical Trial Manager,  the CTA will be involved in most activities in preparation for study set up, conduct and completing a Clinical Trial which usually includes:

  • Participating in Investigator Meetings and Study Team meetings. Takings minutes and distributing.
  • Assist with the Ethics/Regulatory Submissions; keeping a track of submissions and approvals of the study
  • Preparing and completing CRFs (Source documents) and ensuring timely uploading of data to the eCRF or other appropriate EDC system
  • Assist with collating, submitting and tracking CRFs and data queries to Data Management
  • Resolution of data queries in a timely manner
  • Maintenance of Investigator Site File (ISF)
  • Managing and maintaining study documents and trial supplies e.g.; Patient Information Sheets, Patient Details, Lab Kits & Medical equipment for the study site including re-ordering of supplies where necessary
  • Preparing essential clinical trial documentation, distributing, tracking and filing of documents on return
  • Ensure that any clinical trial databases/tracking tools are set up and maintained throughout the trial
  • Notifying appropriate members of the study team of any potential Adverse Events in a timely manner
  • Receiving and assisting with the completion of study/patient reports, ensuring they are signed/filed/ distributed where appropriate
  • General study filing and coordinating archiving of study documentation

 

Candidate requirements

  • Recently graduated BSc/MSc with a Scientific or Life Science degree
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and deliver high quality work within time scales provided
  • Demonstrable communication and administrative experience obtained outside of studies
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and capable of learning new systems
