Job Summary

Job purpose

The purpose of the National Sales Manager role is to o deliver sales of Sandoz Specialty products into the UK market through Key Account Managers and other resources (where applicable), and achieve / over-achieve expected sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for growing sales of defined brands across the Specialty portfolio
• Lead and manage a team of Key Account Managers across the UK, ensuring team alignment with objectives and incentive scheme, performance management, commercial excellence deliverables, , and development planning for team members
• Responsible for gathering market intelligence and identifying opportunities to increase the commercial potential of the Specialty portfolio
• Responsible for providing significant input into and /or driving as needed: shape product and portfolio strategy, tender strategy, accurate brand forecasts, and budget management with the respective brand team and market access team members
• Implementation and/or management of all approved customer engagement events surrounding Specialty portfolio
• Guide effective account planning and management
• Budget management to ensure optimal return on investments at all levels within the sales function
• Cross functional collaboration to maximize sales for Specialty as well as rest of Sandoz portfolio as appropriate

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have

• Educated to degree level in a business or science subject (Biology preferred)
• ABPI qualified english
• Ideally with over 5 years branded (ethical) pharmaceutical sales experience in selling to secondary care specialists
• Experience with strategic NHS, including local area teams and CCGs and hospital trusts
• Commercial experience dealing with contracts through CMU as well as local volume based hospital contracts
• Demonstratable management success
• Effective working within a matrix organization
