Public Affairs Manager - Scotland or Buckinghamshire

Our client is a leading biopharmaceutical company whose substantial reinvestment into R&D is creating products at both early and late stage development. With a focus on core business areas of oncology, nephrology, and immunology/allergy, they discover and develop innovative new drugs aiming to become a global specialty pharmaceutical company which contributes to the health and well-being of people around the world.

They are now looking to establish a UK and Ireland Public Affairs function that can grow in line with the Rare Disease Business Unit and the wider company’s ambitions. Work in close collaboration with Global Public Affairs to develop, shape and execute the public affairs and advocacy strategies at a local level.

This position will be an integral part of the Rare Disease Cross-functional team, supporting business objectives across the pipeline of emerging rare disease assets.

Key requirements:
* Educated to degree level
* Post-graduate business, public relations or communications qualification is desirable
* Previous experience working in the pharmaceutical industry, or in an organisation providing consultancy services in the healthcare sector, or in an organisation representing patients or healthcare professionals
* Public Affairs experience is essential
* Patient Advocacy experience is desirable
