A thriving medical communications agency based in Cheshire, is seeking an Associate Medical Writer to join their team.

The agency requires you to have excellent communication skills; with the ability to write clear, accurate and creative editorial work over a range of medical communications materials.

This role would be perfect for someone wanting to begin a career in medical writing, as you’ll be provided on the job training and surrounded by experienced medical writers to learn from.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce excellent written work according to specification
  • Working with the line manager to manage your workload, taking into account competing client projects and other priorities
  • Able to follow standard editorial and project management operating procedures, quality policies and adhere to best practice guidelines
  • Awareness of client expectations, ability to sustain and grow successful client relationships

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • PhD
  • Scientific knowledge and understanding
  • Writing experience desirable – may be gained during post-graduate or post-doctoral training
  • Pharmaceutical experience or knowledge advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to objectively assimilate information
  • Team player, able to act on constructive feedback
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Consistent, close attention to detail
  • High levels of drive, motivation and initiative
  • Able to withstand the pressure of deadlines
  • Computer literate – Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet
