Scientific Communication Director (M/F)

Purpose of the role:

  • Scientific Communication Director in the HER2-negative breast cancer and gynaecological malignancies areas
  • Scientific Communication Directors lead the development of scientific communication strategies for assigned molecules/disease areas and deliver scientific communication tactics in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Establishes and maintains contacts to Therapeutic Area Experts (TAE), Societies and Collaborative Group in order to optimize the execution of the scientific communications strategies and tactical plan
  • Provide strategic guidance to affiliates/regions where necessary regarding scientific communication activities

Experiences:
  • Strong Scientific background necessary. MD, PhD, Pharmacy degree a plus 
  • Disease specific experience (in breast cancer) a plus
  • Proven ability to work closely and collaboratively with internal and external collaborators
  • Ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment with shared accountability and responsibilities
  • Hands on experience in the development and execution of publication plans would be benificial


About the role and the GMT

This role will reside in the HER2-negative/gynaecological malignancies Global Medical Team (GMT) within PDMA. There are numerous molecules (including atezolizumab and ipatasertib) in development that will require a significant effort from a scientific communications perspective to support pre-launch activities. The successful execution these activities will require significant internaction with internal and external stakeholders from the Scientific Communication Director in collaboration with other PDMA colleagues.
