Job purpose

Reporting to the Country Head UK/ IE CFO UK/IE, you will primarily be responsible for the management of the financial performance and control of Sandoz in the UK and Ireland

Key Responsibilities
• To support the Country Head UK/ IE in the formulation of financial and strategic plans and to implement actions that ensure the organisation delivers profitable growth.
• To fully understand key business issues and drivers, including headcount and other investments.
• To challenge budgets and projects, identify risks and opportunities and ensure that action is taken to deliver against targets.
• To support decision making across the business through financial evaluation of proposed projects and planned or actual data in order that enhanced financial performance is delivered.
• Manage budget, latest forecast and monthly reporting processes.
• Drive efficiency and productivity mindset across the business to fully optimise Return on Investment.
• Deliver insightful, challenging and proactive analytical support that drives business decisions across all functions.
• Operational and P&L responsibility for the Irish joint venture (Rowex Limited)
• Ensure optimised service delivery from the In Country FSC with regard to FRA and BPC activities. • Ensure talent pipeline and effective succession planning
• Supervises all Finance, Internal Control and Compliance related activities in UK countries.
• Functional reporting to Regional CFO
• Support local Emergency Response Management and NEM Organisation, and Business Continuity Planning for the site.

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and/or MBA w/significant previous experience in sr finance or accountancy role.
• A life sciences graduate, preferably w/higher degree will be viewed favorabl English
• Commercially minded and technically strong qualified accountant with excellent analytical skills along with experience.
• At least 7 years senior finance experience with knowledge of both management accounting and financial accounting
