As a PMO Manager you will drive all PMO-related activities across multiple locations for PLS projects, i.e. resource capacity planning, budgeting and finance tracking, portfolio management, demand pipeline management and project prioritization. You will also drive all levels of reporting, from detailed project plans to high level stakeholder reports focusing on key areas of interest, such as project progress against timelines, cost and savings or pipeline and utilization


Your Responsibilities:

In your new role your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure compliance with core methodologies including GATE (Service Development method), Project GATE (project management method) and other consulting methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
• Act as the source for standardized project documentation, providing guidance on project management practices and business planning
• Support effective project delivery providing PMO and change management expertise to service development and transition projects
• Work closely with the Head of PMO and the PLS project teams globally to understand the projects they are working on from low level project plans to high level program milestones, and any interdependencies with other projects in the PLS portfolio
• Prepare reporting output and presentations to drive discussions with key PMO stakeholders including Head of Service Development and Consulting, Finance, practice leads, PLS Quality and PLS customers (where relevant)
• Continuously review Service Development and Consulting resource capacity requirements for current and future projects
• Ensure the PMO standards, procedures, tools and templates are used consistently and effectively in all projects. Develop further tools and templates as required
• Drive all levels of status reporting with Program Leads, Transition Managers and Consultants as needed
• Manage key stakeholder relationships
• Lead all PMO-related meetings and follow up actions, create PMO-related presentations and maintain PMO templates
• Drive project metrics reporting and key communication activities related to the PMO

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Degree level
• Further education in Project management, PRINCE or other professional project and program management qualification
• Fluent English Speaking
• 5+ years of experience working in a PMO (portfolio or program management office)
• 3+ years of experience managing projects or driving key business change projects
• Strong communications skills, stakeholder management and leadership skills
• Experience in working in large / international companies

Desirable requirements:

• Understanding of Pharma business and financial issues, including its regulatory environment (life sciences Business Process Outsourcing experience preferred)
• Management consulting, Outsourcing or Pharma background
• A second major European language
