Job purpose:

Be part of a leading healthcare primary market research team working with brand teams across the globe, as part of Novartis’ longer term strategic plan, to bring a new innovative products to those in need.

The PMR manager will support decision making across the organization adding value as a functional expert in designing innovative research approaches to answer key business questions and support growth by leading the development and execution of primary market research. Proactively combining information from different sources, mainly market research, to evaluate brands’ performance and market trends using innovative statistical analysis techniques. Evaluating the success of marketing initiatives through market research with significant focus on ensuring tight alignment with global brand teams and country insights teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic
• Enable Franchise Heads to make strategic decisions by bringing external perspective and data based insights
• Drive innovation and capability building, including new techniques, data sources, automation and Al to enhance process efficiency and value of Insights.
• Provide pro-active thought leadership and credibility in defining and aligned with the strategy

Leadership
• Very strong functional leader, with the ability to influence across senior leaders in Novartis
• Understands brand teams perspectives (objectives, priorities, and support/capability requirements)

Enhance insights
• Subject matter expert in PMR who can identify and implement innovate, industry leading primary market research approaches

Elevate Business Analytics and business optimization
• Synthesize data and insights from analytics to support decision making

Talent management
• Build a ‘one-team’ mentality to overcome issues, balance risks, build high performing teams and trust with stakeholders

Operational
• Develop and lead innovative PMR execution

About the Novartis Global Service Centre in Dublin:

The Novartis Global Service Center (NGSC), Dublin, was set up in 2013 and is located in a state-of-the-art facility on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge. The center, one of five around the world, delivers a broad variety of services to the Novartis divisions and organizations worldwide. Services offered by the Dublin team include scientific and commercial services, IT, HR Operations and Procurement. There are currently several hundred associates employed at the site with 32 nationalities speaking 28 languages.

Minimum requirements

Requirements:

• 8+ years previous work in market research / specialist agencies
• Significant experience of managing multi-methodology market research projects encompassing multi-markets
• Experience in working across regions and within a commercial, primary market research team and the ability to work with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment.
• Project management – scoping, defining deliverables, business case development and reporting at a senior level including the ability to communicate effectively and to have a persuasive and credible presentation style
• Strong business acumen and solution-orientation mindset including budget and P&L management
• Experience in remote relationships (on-shore/off-shore capability delivery).
• Preferred: Knowledge of the disease areas within the Pharma sector, with strong leadership and communication skills
• University degree BA/BS/MA degree in business, statistics/mathematics, medicine, sciences, health economics, sociology, psychology
• Fluency in English, superior written composition skills, a second European language is of benefit
