Job Summary:

Oxford BioMedica is a pioneer of gene and cell therapy and our work is helping to deliver life changing treatments. Gene and cell therapy is the treatment of disease by the delivery of therapeutic DNA into a patient’s cells, providing long term and potentially curative treatments for a wide range of diseases. With the potential to transform medicine, the sector holds significant promise with the first commercial products now launched and others rapidly approaching the market.


Due to our continued growth we are looking for a QC Officer to join our QC team.  The purpose of this role is to provide support and assistance to the QC group to ensure Oxford Biomedica's quality requirements are met at all times.

Key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Ensure departmental quality records are progressed to agreed timeline
  • Review of QC documents
  • Generations of trend reports, quality records, quality incidents and deviations
  • Provide support to the QC department
  • Provide sample management and sample shipment support
  • To ensure compliance with GMP requirements

To succeed in the role:

  • Educate to degree level or ability to demonstrate experience in pharmaceutical QC
  • Good understanding of GMP
  • Computer literate
  • Experience within a QC testing laboratory
  • Experience with internal and external audits
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good attention to details
  • Good communication and relationship building skills
