Job purpose:

Medical communications provides consultancy services to the pharmaceutical industry to help raise awareness of medicines via education and promotion. The Novartis Med Comms service is an in-house (NBS) service that advises the business on how best to educate and inform their customers (doctors/medical professionals/Key Opinion Leaders) about the benefits and risks of therapies, supported by clinical and economic data. We are seeking a Senior Client Services Manager to act as a partner for clients for an assigned brand and/or TA for all Medical Communications PLS deliverables. This role leads the development, execution and management of assigned Scientific Events and all Medical Communication deliverables, including publications ensuring alignment with the customer’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Point of Contact (POC) for deliverables for the assigned client groups
• Main POC for client of assigned brand/TA/Med Comms/Publication Plan
• Responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery
• Working in collaboration with the CSL, acts as stakeholder client relationship manager for clients
• Leads client meetings. Responsible for delivery throughout the year
• Communicates clearly and frequently with client, proactive recommendations on medical communication tactics in clear, succinct, compelling manner to clients
• Ensures timely, accurate client documentation and correspondence
• Responsible for keeping CSL briefed on medical communication activities for assigned brands
• Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of advice
• Actively recommends PLS capabilities for innovative medical communication solutions
• Evaluates individual projects against client’s brief Management of deliverables for TA/brand
• Maintains accurate and current files/reports
• Responsible for reconciling projects at regular intervals
• Keeps accurate record of time spent on client work via timesheets and recoverability target
• Working with the CSM, provides CSL with accurate revenue and forecasting of Medical Communications activities (Events and Scientific Writing)
• Identifies opportunities for new projects/additional revenue streams
• Ensure tracking and evaluation of standard metrics.
• Assists with budgets planning and forecasting for assigned franchise/TA
• Responsible for reconciling projects at regular intervals
• Keeps accurate record of time spent on client work via timesheets and recoverability targets Project and indirect leadership
• Leads a deliverable-assigned, brand/TA-specific, PLS project team and manages external vendors (when required) for events and medical communications
• Sets clear direction and priorities; mentors and coaches staff
• Responsible for adherence to compliance related activities and approvals (with internal client taking accountability for compliance)
• Conveys credibility and maintains positive, professional image both internally and externally
• Demonstrates ability and willingness to assume a leadership/mentor role

The Novartis Global Service Centre (NGSC), Dublin, was set up in 2013 and is located in a state-of-the-art facility on the Merrion Road in Ballsbridge. Minimum requirements

Requirements:

• University degree level / Graduate degree, ideally in science. Additional further education desirable
• Fluent English (oral and written) plus one other language would be desirable.
• 2 to 5 years’ experience of working with Medical Communications for either an agency or from within the pharmaceutical industry
• Track record in leading the delivery of Scientific Events
• High level of experience in digital solutions and innovation
• Significant openness to piloting new ideas
• Experience in cross cultural work environment.
• Proven ability to work towards deadlines
• Strong stakeholder management skills
