Sandoz is currently recruiting for a Performance Unit Head, Primary Care

Job purpose

Maximise the potential of the Sandoz UK primary care product portfolio by meeting agreed sales and market share objectives through effective sales, marketing, operational planning, launch planning, implementation and management of resources in the short and long-term in line with Business Unit Objectives

Key Responsibilities

-Manage all sales and marketing activities as well as defined budgets for team in line with Business Unit objectives.
-Management of Primary Care team including recruitment and development of individuals, operational and performance management, targeting and segmentation. 
-Drive high performance culture & standards with within team through effective coaching and development.
-Implementation of operational sales and marketing plans, specified programmes and activities within agreed budgets.
-Ensure accurate and timely performance tracking and forecasting tools are in place for brands. 
-Focus on Commercial Excellence and capability building with sales teams.
-Actively engage in development of short and long terms business plans in conjunction with relevant functions, e.g., Medical, by analyzing and monitoring market / competitive trends.
-Support management updates locally and globally as needed, including delivering forecasts for financial cycles.
-Management of channel and market research to develop customer insights through appropriate channels and tools.
-Develop marketing strategy for each new product, in line with commercial goals and contribute to portfolio reviews.
-Develop medical strategy ensuring alignment with sales and marketing functions and supporting patients to achieve optimal outcomes on Sandoz products and to collect data on these outcomes
-Pro-actively share best practice with Regional Sales, Marketing, Medical & Commercial teams
-Ensure all marketing activities are conducting in line with ABPI code of practice
-Be the system owner for Zinc system – ensure this is maintained to support compliance of all marketing activities

Minimum requirements

The ideal candidate will have

-University degree or equivalent in Science, Marketing and Business qualification.MBA desirable 
-ABPI qualified desirable English 
-A proven record of accomplishment in the development and implementation of product marketing and new launches within medical or equivalent sector 
-Demonstrable awareness and understanding of the trends & dynamics within the UK healthcare sector 
-Trained ABPI commercial signatory (desirable) 
-First/Second line management experience 
-Hands-on experience of medical sales and marketing management  Experience in cross-functional teams including medica0l. 
-Experience of the multiple facets of marketing including communication (KOL, public affairs, public relations), financial analysis and market research. 
-Strong demonstrable influence/negotiation skills and relationship management capabilities 
-Demonstrable ability to successfully navigate through ambiguity  Successfully manage cross-functional teams 
-Excellent communication skills and strong business acumen 
