Our client is a market leading, global pharmaceutical company with a rich history and a significant focus on research and development. They are now looking to hire the services of a permanent Medical Science Liaison / MSL with or without prior MSL experience for a newly created National coverage role.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist or PhD level educated professional to join a market leading pharmaceutical company in a well-supported and career progressive role.

Our client will consider experienced MSLs as well as aspiring MSLs with prior and in-depth Rheumatology therapy area experience (essential).

Location:
National field based

Salary:
Circa 50,000 - 60,000 per annum plus benefits including bonus, company car, pension

Experience required:
Our client is looking for a clinical pharmacist or a pharmacist who has extensive experience within hospital setting focused within rheumatology or a PhD or Medical Doctor (MD) who has extensive experience / research within rheumatology. Applicants who have then gone on to gain experience as a MSL would be highly sought after - an understanding of the role of a MSL is essential.
Further experience / skills required include:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Full UK driving license
- Experience of liaison with healthcare / medical professionals
- Demonstratable experience of building and maintaining relationships
- Able to be office based (Berkshire) during training period circa 3 months

Job role:
This is a newly created MSL position covering UK (wide) working on early indications for Rheumatology (at clinical trial stage). This position reports to MSL Manager and will be responsible for non-promotional and scientific interactions with external experts and healthcare professionals most of which will be Rheumatologists. This position will have support and interaction with two other MSLs already established within this company. The position will be focused on understanding and supporting research and medical / scientific information within rheumatology.
