Alzheimer Europe Conference
We are proud to invite you to the 29th Alzheimer Europe Conference from 23-25th October in the beautiful city of The Hague in the Netherlands. The Hague is well known as centre of politics and government and is the home of the Royal Palace and the Peace Palace. It also has some of the finest museums in the Netherlands. In these great surroundings we’re happy to bring together people with dementia, their families, volunteers and staff from Alzheimer associations together with policy makers, health and social care professionals, researchers and industry representatives from all over Europe and beyond.
Making valuable connections
The conference is a great opportunity for dementia experts to meet, learn from one another and share knowledge and experiences. This year we will meet and share experiences under the motto ‘Making valuable connections’. Connectivity is key when it comes to dementia. Whether it refers to connecting brain cells, developing relationships between persons with dementia and their families and friends, living in a dementia-friendly society, having access to volunteers and local services, connecting with the help of technology and online platforms, building powerful networks of regional dementia care or collaborating with academic research centers and industrial partners.
We have identified a number of key topics for which we would like participants to submit abstracts. We are confident that we will be able to continue and build on the success of previous years where we received over 420 abstracts for oral and poster presentations. The call for abstracts covers broad fields like policies and strategies, social and care approaches, user driven technology, services and psychosocial interventions, human rights, building a dementia-friendly society, prevention and treatment. In this way we want to promote a multi-disciplinary and multi-professional approach to dementia.
We all share the commitment of making these connections of real value to the persons with dementia and their families living in Europe. Day in, day out. We’re looking forward to meet you and connect in October at the Alzheimer Europe Conference,
