medi USA introduces the Genumedi® PSS New knee support used in the treatment of patella tip syndrome

WHITSETT, N.C., Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical device manufacturer medi® announced the launch of its new knee support, the Genumedi® PSS, an innovative solution for conservative treatment of knee pain caused by patella tip syndrome (jumper's knee). The knee support, with its integrated patellar tendon strap, relieves tension on the insertions of the patellar ligament to relieve pain at the tip of the kneecap for reliable guidance and stabilization of the knee joint.

With its two-part pad system for easy patellar guidance and reduction of pressure and tension at the tip of the patella, it's the optimal combination of tried-and-tested knee and patellar support. The Genumedi PSS has a unique offset patella strap system that customizes support to the patellar tendon without binding behind the leg. The seamless, tailored knee support improves proprioception and enhances muscular support joint effusion. It's skin-friendly, latex-free construction is achieved by its compressive fabric and silicone inserts that improve blood circulation and provide a safe grip.

"The Genumedi PSS is light-weight, comfortable and well designed," said David L Marshall, MD, Medical Director of the Sports Medicine Program at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. "This makes it a great choice for athletes young and old who are having knee pain from patella tendinitis or Osgood-Schlatter disease."

The Genumedi PSS knee support won the "iF design award 2017" quality seal, and it also won the "Red Dot Award 2017" for its outstanding design in the product design category.
