Alfa Chemistry Expands Its Production Lines by Adding Single Crystal Products
On July 20, 2018, due to the increasing demands from the customers around the world, Alfa Chemistry announced the launch of single crystal products to expand its production lines.
Single crystals are materials in which the entire sample has a continuous and unbroken lattice at the edge of the sample, without grain boundaries. The particles inside the single crystal are regularly and periodically arranged in the three-dimensional space, or in other words, the whole crystal is composed of the same space lattice in the three-dimensional direction. Single crystals have unique properties including mechanical, optical and electrical properties. Single crystal material is a new material that is increasingly used. In addition to their value in certain gemstones, they can also be used industrially in technical applications, especially in the fields of optics, electronics and semiconductor.
Among the single crystal materials, pure element single crystals play an important role in the field of advanced materials. In general, Single crystals include pure elements, alloys, compounds and oxides. And the metals are generally considered to be pure elements. Pure element single crystals include Si, non-ferrous metals (Cu, Zn, Co, Cr, Ni), rare metals (Ru, Ta, Nb, In, Ge, V), precious metals (Au, Ag, Pt, Pd) and transition metals (Fe). SiNx films have been widely used in microelectronics and micromechanical systems because of their high hardness, high temperature resistance, good thermal conductivity, insulation and excellent photoelectric properties. GaN single-crystal thin film grown by epitaxial growth on a sapphire (mainly Al2O3) substrate is the most preferred material for preparing high temperature, high frequency, and high power devices. Barium titanate (SrTiO3 ) is a commonly used electronic functional ceramic material with high dielectric constant, low dielectric loss and good thermal stability.
