Everence™ Announces Expanded Product Offering Allowing Consumers To Submit Cremains, Human And Pet Hair Samples For Ultimate Tribute Tattoo

NEW YORK, Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Everence™ announced an expansion of its product offering by providing consumers the ability to create their one-of-a-kind tattoo ink additive from cremains (cremated remains) as well as human and pet hair samples. The new kits are a powerful expansion beyond DNA-sample only kits, allowing consumers a wider breadth of precious materials to select from to create Everence. The cremains, human and pet hair sample collection kits can be taken to any tattoo artist in the world for application as a new or existing tattoo.

"Everence is about giving people the ability to stay physically connected to what inspires them. We started out by enabling customers to turn DNA from a loved one or pet into Everence, but quickly recognized that we needed to do more for those whose loved ones are no longer with them," said Patrick Duffy, CEO and co-founder of Everence. "So, we are expanding the types of material from which we can make Everence to include a wider range of people who may have collected cremains or hair from their loved one — human or pet — before their passing."

For thousands of years, human beings have been adding cremated ash from loved ones into tattoos, but Everence is the first to patent a state-of-the-art process that makes it suitable for the body and practical for any tattoo artist. Everence was developed by leading scientists, is made from medical-grade materials and is produced in its ISO 9001 certified and GMP-compliant facility here in the United States. Every step of the production process from start to finish is held to the strictest quality control and safety standards in the world.

The process to make Everence from DNA begins with molecular biology that involves the extraction and purification of short strands of DNA from a consumer's sample. Now, the team has perfected the process to create Everence from cremated ash or hair.

Everence's patented process for processing hair or cremated ash involves micronizing (reducing the particle size from the sample down to an ideal size to go into a tattoo), purifying it and then microencapsulating it in a medical-grade polymer material which protects it from being destroyed by the body, and will keep it within the tattoo forever. The entire process involves more than 20 individual steps and uses a variety of highly specialized mini-mills ranging from:

jet vortex mills using highspeed airflow that mimics the conditions inside a tornado to reduce particle size

cryomills in which the material is continually cooled with liquid nitrogen from the integrated cooling system before and during the grinding process

precision wet mills that carefully convert the ash or hair into a form which can be turned into Everence.

The cremation and hair kits begin at $350.00 and consumers can visit to place their order and begin their journey.
