Winsight Grocery Business And RDBA Announce Return Of Retail Dietitian Exchange
CHICAGO, Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Winsight Grocery Business (WGB) and Retail Dietitians Business Alliance (RDBA) have announced the return of Retail Dietitian Exchange in 2019. The two-day event will take place May 20-22 at McCormick Place in Chicago in partnership with the National Confectioners Association's (NCA) Sweets & Snacks Expo. The event delivers business best practices, engaging networking opportunities, timely industry updates and much more to retail dietitians across the nation.
"This is the only retail dietitian conference that is 100% focused on business and industry trends, which is really what retail dietitians need in order to take our programs to the next level and impact more shoppers," said Lauren Tulig, nutrition communications manager for Skogen's Festival Foods. "This focus really sets this conference apart from any other conference. …I felt that I was able to network with every single RD and have meaningful conversations."
Retail Dietitian Exchange (RDE) plans to build upon the success of its inaugural event in 2018, which featured speakers from Technomic, RDBA, U.S. Dairy, NCA, Cannabistry Labs, Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network, Gatorade PepsiCo Demand Xcelerator, FleishmanHillard and more. Topics centered around new retail trends, aligning with consumer demands, disrupting the autopilot shopper, the future of natural and organics, how to effectively market programs and services, and evolving food issues such as sustainability, waste, cannabis and cellular agriculture.
"We're thrilled to bring back the Retail Dietitian Exchange in partnership with the RDBA and NCA. We've structured next year's event to have even more robust proprietary content and business skills needed for the challenges RDs face every day," said Jeff Friedman, executive vice president of grocery for WGB.
Phil Lempert, president and CEO of RDBA, added, "We feel that RDE really hit the mark in terms of the most useful information that attendees could take home and implement right away. RDE 2019 will take the feedback that we received and tailor the content even further to address the ever-evolving needs and responsibilities of the retail dietitian."
Registration for RDE 2019 will open on January 1, 2019. Click here to view a highlight video of last year's event.
