Anthem Expands Affordable Mountain Health Plan to Small and Large Employers in Northwestern Colorado

With the shared goal of increasing access to affordable healthcare in the region, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and HMO Colorado (Anthem) announced the expansion of its lower cost mountain health plan to large and small group employers in Moffat and Rio Blanco counties.

Anthem’s Mountain Enhanced Network HMO was created in collaboration with Memorial Regional Health and their network of clinics and physicians. This new benefits plan will be available to employers and their employees this fall, and will take effect Jan. 1, 2019.

"Our Mountain Enhanced Network HMO gives the residents of Moffat and Rio Blanco counties access to quality care that is affordable and close to home,” said Jeff Sepich, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Colorado. “We’re pleased to expand this collaborative approach to northwestern Colorado as part of our overall commitment to making healthcare simpler, more accessible and more affordable.”

Anthem consumers will get the most out of their HMO benefits and save on out-of-pocket costs when they receive covered medical services from Memorial Regional Health and their affiliated clinics and physicians.

“Memorial Regional Health is very pleased to partner with Anthem on the creation of the Mountain Enhanced Network HMO. We believe that this is a unique and innovative approach to providing affordable coverage with excellent access to care,” said Andy Daniels, CEO of Memorial Regional Health.

Mountain Enhanced Network HMO will include Anthem’s unique benefits such as its 24/7 access to LiveHealth Online, LiveHealth Online Psychology, nurse line and health and wellness programs like Condition Care, which provides a case manager to Anthem consumers who have complex medical conditions.
